The Pace Academy - Diversity program

As a business professional for more than 35 years, Mark H. Dunaway has served in a number of positions that include chairman, CEO, and president for several large companies. While serving in executive management positions, Mark H. Dunaway has also been a board member for several organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Pace Academy’s Life Trustees in Atlanta, Georgia.

Founded in 1958, the Pace Academy is designed to help children from pre-first to 12th grade to gain the experience and global perspective needed to live as confident citizens in the world. Started by an interfaith group of community leaders, the Pace Academy focuses on teaching students about diversity and incorporates an inclusive learning environment with small classes to help students get more personal attention.

The diversity program at the Pace Academy helps to prepare students for success, while also teaching community awareness. Through a variety of initiatives, including guest speakers, comprehensive study options, class trips, and parental consultations, the Pace Academy inculcates diversity in ways that engage students and develop leadership and other skills.
